Samsung is taking pre-orders for the Samsung ViewFinity S9 with 5K resolution, which will be released on August 28 for $1599: https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-ViewFinity

This 27-inch 5K monitor is not just a high-end flagship monitor for tablets, laptops, and other computers, but a professional display which has particular emphasis on color accuracy and features for people who rely on the monitor as one of the most important technologies in their work.

As such, the Samsung ViewFinity S9 is often compared to the Apple Studio Display, another 27-inch display used by professionals and others who want the best. Or, actually Apple considers their very best to be the Apple Pro Display XDR, but that monitor is in the $6000 price range, and out of reach for most people.

Samsung ViewFinity S9 (S90PC) meanwhile is a 27-inch computer monitor for many operating systems, with a 5K resolution of 5120 x 2880, giving it a ppi of 218 and thus keeping it in the preferred range for most professionals.

Other hardware specs includes 600 nits brightness, a 60 Hz refresh rate, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and matte display.

In addition to the color calibrations features, it has an adjustable 4K webcam with a 3840 x 2160 resolution, horizontal and vertical screen rotation, Thunderbolt 4, miniDP, and USB-C ports, Smart TV features for direct access to TV streaming apps, and a similar access to Samsung Gaming Hub without the need to even connect it to a computer to play games.

It has a remote too, which is handy when using it as a smart TV.
