Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 And S7+ To Feature 120 Hz Displays + Benchmark Scores Are Out

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 11-inch and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ 12.4-inch will both be the first Samsung tablets with a 120 Hz refresh rate on the display. This according to Samsung leaker Iceuniverse.

Such a high refresh rate is still a rarity on tablets, after it was first introduced by Apple for their 2017 series of iPad Pros.

With twice the refresh rate on the screen, the benefits are smoother scrolling with browsers and content, better playback on some videos, a better pen experience, and of course smoother games if you run them at that rate.

Of course, something like this was expected after the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G was possibly benchmarked yesterday with the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor.

So if that Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ benchmark is real, we should also expect LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, with a minimum of 6GB of RAM, and possibly options of 8GB RAM or more.

With a Geekbench 4 single-core score of 4,277 and multi-core score of 13,286, it is still 20%-40% behind the iPad Pros generally in terms of speed and power. But it's getting closer.

Basically it seems to take its main hardware from the Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, which I would consider a good thing.
