Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 Wi-Fi Got IMDA Certification Today
Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Tab Active 5, the latest iteration of its popular rugged tablet line.
Before the official announcement, the Wi-Fi variant of the Tab Active 5 recently stopped by Singapore's Info-Communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) for certification.
Spotted on the database under model number SM-X300, this Wi-Fi-only version will complement a separate 5G-enabled variant.
The tablet has previously visited other certification bodies like the FCC and Safety Korea under similar model numbers. Its IMDA listing confirms Bluetooth support in addition to Wi-Fi connectivity.

Expected Specifications
So what can durability-seeking consumers expect from the Tab Active 5? Reports indicate it will run on an Exynos 1380 chipset with at least 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. MicroSD expansion will allow users to boost capacity up to 64GB.
On the software front, the tablet looks set to launch with the latest Android 14 platform. It will also offer S Pen stylus functionality for writing and drawing needs.
Gray and Black color options are rumored along with a 15W fast charging capability.
While more details remain unknown, the recurring regulatory stops signal Samsung's readiness to fully unveil the Galaxy Tab Active 5.
Exact specifications, pricing details and launch timelines should firm up as the announcement draws near.
For now, the tablet's growing certifications paint the picture of a rugged slate designed to withstand challenging working environments while keeping users connected and productive.
