Samsung Galaxy 7-Inch Phone Tab Approved
A new 7-inch Samsung Galaxy tablet phone is on the way to the market, with the model number SM-T2558.
(UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy W was launched in South Korea on June 2.)
It has been certified by the FCC, so we know it's coming to the US. What we don't know is the name, though it has been suggested that it could be called Samsung Galaxy Mega 2, even though the Mega 1 is a 6.3-inch phablet and not a 7-inch tablet.
We do have some specs for the SM-T2558 tablet phone though.
It's an Android 4.4 device, with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (likely another Qualcomm Snapdragon 400), with 1.5GB of RAM, 1280 x 800 resolution display, 8GB storage entry model, a 2MP front camera and a 8MP rear camera.
So specs similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range in other words. Also on board is NFC and dual band Wi-Fi. Given the time of the FCC filing, an official unveiling of this tablet should take place pretty soon.
