Razer Edge Pre-Orders halted after high demand
So that answers one question that has been on the mind of jounralists and tablet enthusiasts alike the last two months: Will the Razer Edge Pro sell well given its starting price of $1299? Well yes, it has sold so well in pre-orders that Razer had to halt pre-orders on March 10 due to higher demand than expected.
The CEO of Razer, Mr. Min-Liang Tan announced that:
“We've had to stop taking pre-orders for the Razer Edge Pro as the pre-orders have gone beyond our forseeable manufacturing capacity (i.e. all stock is sold out for the months to come). We're doing all we can to get manufacturing lines up and running so please bear with us. We're doing everything we can to get more units out in the coming months. We appreciate the patience.”
This is from Razer's homepage however. So some Razer Edge Pro units are still available for pre-order from Amazon. The cheper 64GB, Intel i5 Razer Edge is also available, for the time being at least.
Razer started taking pre-orders on March 1. The release date for pre-ordered Razer Edge and Razer Edge Pro is March 29, that is, for the lucky ones who managed to get hold of one before it sold out.
