I found the Galaxy Tab S4's screen to be bright and crisp, making it great for media consumption. The speakers were louder and had more bass than I expected from a tablet this size. Performance seemed fine for my usage of web browsing and videos. App optimization on Android tablets is still hit-or-miss, though it has been improving. - Filthy Casual Tech |

I felt the Galaxy Tab S4 did not reliably offer the productivity and multitasking capabilities it was designed for. They could not recommend it over cheaper and more capable alternatives like the Surface Go or iPad Pro. - Engadget |

We give the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 a positive review as a great option for those looking for an Android-based productivity tablet with strong performance and vibrant display at a reasonable price point when compared to an iPad Pro setup. The included S Pen is also a nice bonus not found on most competing tablets. - PhoneArena |

Pros: - Good stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos - Smooth performance despite using last year's Snapdragon 835 chip - Easy to switch between apps in DeX desktop-like mode Cons: - Lack of continued software updates - App optimization still hit-or-miss on Android tablets |
The overall rating is based on review by our dedicated team and users.
Samsung released the Galaxy Tab S4, a gorgeously designed Android tablet aimed at users seeking strong media abilities and productivity features.
With its vivid 10.5-inch display, desktop-style DeX interface, and included S Pen stylus, the Tab S4 makes a compelling case for those not locked into Apple's ecosystem.
However, its lack of guaranteed long-term software support gives us pause.
Flaunting premium glass and metal construction, the Tab S4 exudes refinement with an immersive nearly bezel-less display that excels for watching videos or playing games.
Four AKG-tuned speakers provide loud, crisp stereo audio bolstered by Dolby Atmos technology.
Performance stands up well for most tasks despite utilizing last year’s Snapdragon 835 chip. Samsung's DeX interface allows effortless switching between apps in a desktop-style layout.
While not best-in-class, the 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera service video calls and document scanning adequately.
However, Samsung only guarantees major software updates for two years.
This leaves the Tab S4’s future support uncertain, while Apple continues issuing updates for much older iPads.
Additionally, Android tablet app optimization remains inconsistent compared to the highly tailored iPadOS ecosystem.
For those seeking an Android alternative to the iPad Pro, the Galaxy Tab S4 offers a fast and flexible experience thanks to its vibrant display, usable cameras, loud speakers, desktop-style interface, and included stylus.
