I found the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to have a nice design and look similar to other popular tablets. It feels thin and lightweight, almost too delicate. I was concerned about it flexing and twisting in my hands. However, the touchscreen was responsive with good touch sensitivity. The tablet felt quick overall with smooth scrolling and fast video loading. The cameras were a downside - only mediocre quality. - Zollotech |

I have been testing the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for almost a month now. Overall I have enjoyed using many aspects of this tablet. The 16:9 screen ratio is great for watching media. The tablet feels sleek and nice to hold due to its thinness, similar to the iPad 2. The 3 megapixel rear camera takes good quality photos with accurate colors. They look great on the responsive, high resolution touchscreen. Internet browsing is fast and websites load quickly, especially over WiFi. The tablet works well for YouTube and video viewing. The sound from the side speakers is also good. - David - Geekanoids |

The Galaxy Tab is thinner, lighter, and has less bezel for a more compact overall size. It packs strong performance from its Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor and Android 3.1 OS. The 10.1 inch Super PLS display looks excellent with bright, vibrant colors and wide viewing angles that rival or beat the iPad 2. The touchscreen is very responsive. The tablet feels fast and smooth during web browsing and gaming. It handles graphics well in games like Angry Birds. - HotHardware |

Samsung recently released its Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, to compete with Apple's popular iPad. After testing the device, we think the tablet for its gorgeous high-res touchscreen, thin profile, loud speakers, and smooth overall performance.
SLEEK, PREMIUM DESIGN
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 touts a brilliant 10.1-inch Super PLS LCD display. Critics applaud its ability to showcase 16 million colors at an exceptionally vibrant level.
Images and videos will pop thanks to the advanced screen technology. Wide viewing angles also allow easy sharing with a friend while retaining clarity from any position.
DAZZLING VISUALS
The Galaxy Tab feels great to grip due to its super slim design. Measuring just 8.6 mm thick, the tablet is slightly thinner than both the iPad 2 and Samsung's own Galaxy S2 smartphone.
However some warn that excessive twisting can flex the device uncomfortably in hand. Still, the lightweight tablet excels as an ultraportable option for travel and everyday use.
ZIPPY PERFORMANCE
Under the hood, a speedy dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor fuels the Android 3.1 experience. Testers found no lag when browsing multiple websites, streaming HD movies, or playing graphics-heavy games.
Useful apps come pre-installed too like QuickOffice HD and Samsung's own media hub. Gamers will enjoy full stereo sound effects thanks to twin side-mounted speakers.
CAMERA & STORAGE
The built-in rear camera captures decent photos and 720p videos. Just don't expect top-end quality akin to Samsung's leading phone cameras.
There's also no option to add more storage via a microSD card slot. At $499 full retail, shoppers will pay a premium price but unlock a best-in-class media viewing and web surfing experience perfect for work or play.
WORTHY IPAD ALTERNATIVE
Overall the Galaxy Tab 10.1 promises to give Apple a run for its money this year. For Android fans seeking the finest hardware performance or anyone craving a gorgeous portable display, Samsung's new tablet makes a compelling choice over much of the competition.
Shoppers still partial to Apple's ecosystem may want to check it out firsthand before deciding between the iPad or Samsung's compelling alternative.
