User Reviews 2 I found the aluminum build quality very good with nice chamfered edges, although the plastic antenna strip could scratch over time. The fingerprint sensor unlocks instantly. The 2048x1536 IPS display matches the iPad resolution and has good quality, although minor interface lag. Speakers sound loud and better than the iPad Air 2.

Asus has released an impressive new Android tablet that offers great performance and features at a mid-range price point.

The ZenPad 3S 10 Z500M packs a sharp display, long battery life, and premium design into a competitive package.

Rock Solid Build Stands Out

The metal unibody housing gives the ZenPad a sturdy, quality feel unmatched by cheaper plastic rivals.

Chamfered edges and smooth rear finish make it comfortable to hold the 7.2mm thin, 430g slate one-handed without fatigue.

Vibrant Screen Hits the Sweet Spot

ZenPad's 9.7-inch display sharpens images with its 2048×1536 resolution, equaling Apple's vaunted Retina standard.

The bright, colorful IPS screen reproduces videos and games gorgeously.

Wide viewing angles keep visuals distortion-free when sharing content with others.

Hexa-Core CPU Delivers Smooth All-Around Performance

Asus chose acapable MediaTek hexa-core chip to power the slate.

It deftly handles system navigation, multitasking apps, mobile games and productivity with minimal lag or wait times.

The tablet stays snappy and responsive thanks to ample 4GB RAM.

Micro SD Slot, Quick Fingerprint Reader Provide Added Convenience

The ZenPad simplifies expanding storage via a dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 256GB cards.

It also enables instant unlocking through the accurately reading front fingerprint scanner.

Respectable Battery Life Extends Usage

The generous 5900 mAh battery enables over five hours of active screen-on use per charge.

With lighter activities like reading ebooks, the ZenPad can last one to two days before needing a recharge.

Quick charging support helps refill quicker when plugged in.

Cameras Underwhelm But Get the Job Done

An 8MP rear and 5MP front camera equip the tablet for basic photography needs, though image quality falters in low light situations.

Those wanting pro-level photo/video output may still need a standalone camera.

Feature-Packed Value Standout

The thoughtfully designed ZenPad 3S 10 presents an unmatched value in its class.

Asus packs it with premium touches like sharp visuals, expandable storage, loud stereo sound and all-day battery life. Shoppers seeking a well-rounded iPad alternative need look no further.
