I found the unboxing of the Archos Arnova 7G to be quite nice. The tablet itself looks good. I tried using the Android Marketplace app to download apps, but kept getting server errors. This is likely because I did not have Wi-Fi connected. Even with Wi-Fi, there is a storage limitation that prevents downloading apps. It is a barebone tablet with no cameras or GPS, but it has a USB port and microSD card slot, and the tablet plays HD movies very well. - TheWgames |

The hardware has a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor with 512MB RAM. The 7-inch 800x480 capacitive touchscreen supports multitouch and works well. The 0.3MP front camera takes very low quality photos only good for basic video chatting. There is 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB cards. The battery life is very good, lasting 6-8 hours with heavy usage. The screen supports 1080p HD video playback which looks great, especially with the built-in kickstand. - UnboxLirs |

I found the build quality of the Arnova 7G2 to be very solid and lightweight. The custom styling looks great and leading edge compared to other iPad clones. The 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor provides smooth and snappy performance with no lag. Internet browsing and YouTube playback are extremely fast with no delays whatsoever. In terms of downsides, there is no access to the official Google Play Store. However, the alternative AppsLib store has most of the major apps and games available to download for free. This provides a good workaround for no - ProductiveGamerz |
