Oppo X 2021 7.4-Inch Rollable Smartphone-To-Tablet Concept Unveiled
Smartphone company Oppo unveiled their first rollable concept handset today, during their Oppo Inno event in China.
Currently just referred to as the Oppo X 2021, this rollable smartphone is presented as just a concept at this point, but considering its potential, I would not be surprised if Oppo launches the Oppo X 2021 in 2021 either, if only the display will be durable enough.
The Oppo X 2021 rollable smartphone an be stretched from a 6.7-inch phone, to a 7.4-inch tablet.
This is made possible through a flexible OLED display featuring three Oppo technologies, which they call the Roll Motor powertrain, the 2-in-1 Plate, and the high-strength Warp Track lamination that keeps the display flat once it's rolled out.
On the back we find the typical set up of multiple cameras, with an array of three cameras so far on this concept handset.
Other new technologies announced today includes the new and much lighter OPPO AR Glass 2021 that now features two fisheye camera, a ToF sensor, and a RGB camera.
And then Oppo also announced the CybeReal AR app which has set out to offer high-precision localization in combination with AR representation of the information available in those places.
