Neptune Suite Tablet-Phone-Watch-TVDongle Smashes Crowdfunding Goals
The Neptun Suite has smashed its crowdfunding goal of $100,000 USD, by passing $800,000 at the time of the writing.
What is it? It's a system where there's one central computer or “brain” that can then be used to power the different devices of the suite, like the tablet, phone, watch, or TV-dongle.
The computer is the Neptune Hub, the phone is called Pocket Screen, while the tablet is simply called Tab Screen.
The battery capacity is 10.800 mAh in total, with 1000 mAh for the Neptune Hub, 2800 mAh in the Pocket Screen, and 7000 mAh in the Tab Screen. The Neptune Hub will run Android 5.0 Lollipop, an unknown quad-core processor, have 64GB storage, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS for main specs. The phone is a 5-inch phone with 1280 x 720 resolution, a 2MP front camera, and a 8MP rear camera.
The tablet has a 10.1-inch Full HD screen at 1920 x 1080, with a 720P front camera. The final retail price will be $899, but the first crowdfunders were able to place orders for a few hundred dollars less. The Neptune Suite is not estimated to launch before February 2016 though. But altogether it's a fresh and innovative concept.
