Microsoft Surface Fall Event Tipped To September 30 / October 1
The annual fall event from Microsoft's Surface division is now tipped to be either September 30 or October 1 by longtime Windows tipster WalkingCat on Twitter.
Surface event = Oct. 1 or Sep. 30, not sure about the timezone stuff 😅

The usual Windows leakers do not know of any updates to the Surface Pro 7 or Surface Laptop 3, so a Surface Pro 8 or Surface Laptop 4 may delayed until the first half of 2021 instead.
The Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3 have already been updated this year, so that only leaves the Surface Pro X 2 among Surface tablets, which is tipped by insiders to receive an upgrade next week.
A Surface Studio 3 may also be in the works, since the Studio desktop PC is underpowered compared to Apple's most powerful rival nowadays.
But a newcomer in the form of a 12.5-inch laptop is also very likely after a series of leaks the last three weeks. Referred to as the Surface Laptop Sparti, this Microsoft laptop appears to have been benchmarked with an Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor and RAM options up to 16GB, as noted by Windows Latest.
Other hardware we can expect includes peripherals with codenames such as Montreal, Kenmore, and Hali, though when I look behind the codenames I notice that they're just a new set of compact keyboards, a Bluetooth number pad, and a new Bluetooth mouse.
