Lenovo Tab E7 was announced today, as Lenovo’s 2018-2019 model year 7-Inch Android 8.0 tablet which actually runs the stripped down faster budget device version of Android Go. Lenovo Tab E7 is to be released in October for $69.
Lenovo Tab E7 is the Lenovo Tab 7 5 (TB-7104) that we leaked in the past, and the specs haven’t improved since, which is regrettable considering the benchmarks.
Specs on Lenovo Tab E7 starts with the 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT8167 processor on the Wi-Fi version, and MT8321 processor on the 3G cellular version. Other power is 1GB of DDR4 RAM, 8GB/16GB of storage, and 128GB microSD card support.
The 7-inch screen has absolute entry level resolution at 1024 x 600, with 250 nits brightness. On that screen you can look at images shot with the 0.3MP front camera or 2MP rear camera, and it has a mono speaker.
Internet comes via 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth 4.0, while Lenovo Tab E7 also has a micro-USB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack.
A lot of smartphones have larger batteries than Lenovo Tab E7, as the battery capacity is just 2750 mAh, giving it a 5 hour battery life. It’s 10mm thick and weighs 272 grams.
Lenovo Tab E7 is the successor to the Lenovo Tab 7 Essential, and it’s mainly the update to Android 8.0 / 8.1 with the Android Go version that is new.
