The new Lenovo Tab Plus has four tweeters and four woofers. It can also function as a Bluetooth speaker.

Despite tablets typically lacking strong bass, the Lenovo 11.5-inch Tab Plus delivers with 26W of sound. This sound comes from four tweeters and four woofers, positioned on both sides when in landscape orientation.

Lenovo allows users to connect devices wirelessly to the Tab Plus, using it as a Bluetooth speaker.

The Tab Plus comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor. It has 8GB of RAM and provides options for 128GB or 256GB of storage. This can be increased with a microSD card. However, it's not geared towards high productivity.

Lenovo markets this as primarily a device for enjoying media. It features both a front and back camera with 8MP each. The tablet comes with Android 14 and Lenovo promises two years of operating system updates and four years of security updates.

The Tab Plus has an 11.5-inch 90Hz 2K LCD screen, which is not the top of its class. Lenovo says its 8,600mAh battery can last for up to 12 hours of streaming, though it's unclear if this refers to audio or video streaming. It also supports 45W fast charging, which can fully charge the battery in 90 minutes.

There's a built-in pop-out kickstand on the back, making it easier to use the tablet as a Bluetooth speaker. Additionally, it includes a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack that supports 24-bit 96kHz high-resolution audio and is tuned with Dolby Atmos.

The new Tab Plus from Lenovo has a noticeable bulge on its back. This makes the tablet thicker, going from 7.77mm to 13.58mm. In contrast, Apple's latest 13-inch iPad Pro is only 5.1mm thick, not counting the camera bump.

Lenovo has not said exactly where you can buy the new 11.5-inch Tab Plus, only that it is available in some global markets starting today. With a price of $289.99, it might attract people who want a tablet and a powerful speaker in one device, without needing to carry both separately.
