iPad Air 3 Latest Specs Rumors Include A9X Chip
Some new information regarding the upcoming new Apple iPad Air 3 came out this week via Bloomberg, who now claim to have it on good authority that the upcoming iPad Air 3 will sport the same A9X processor as the 12-inch Apple iPad Pro.
And once again the date of the unveiling is rumored to be March 15, with a possible March 18 release date.
So this means that a lot of the main specs for the new iPad seems to have been leaked already.
If all the prior leaks turns out to be true, which seems likely, then the upcoming Apple iPad Air 3 specs will include a dual-core 2.26 GHz Apple A9X processor, although the final frequency could be either higher or lower on the iPad Air 3.
Then quad speakers with one speaker in each corner, a rear LED flash for the camera, a Smart Connector, a 4K display, a larger battery capacity, and up to 4GB of RAM.
The 4GB of RAM could be either an option to the 2GB of RAM or standard. We will see. But given the latest leak or rumor about a possible Apple A9X chip, we should expect DDR4 RAM actually, to go along with the upgraded iPad Air processor.
It's difficult to calculate just how much faster the new iPad Air 3 will be compared to the iPad Air 2 especially considering the more demanding display, but so far it looks like the power increase will be significant.
