Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 (2022-2023 Model) Announced

In addition to Huawei's unveiling of the Windows tablet Huawei MateBook E Go, they also unveiled the new version of the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 2022-2023 model.

The predecessor was launched in June last year as a flagship tablet with a good set of specs. As such, this new model has not been radically upgraded.

It has kept the Kirin 9000E processor, but you can get more RAM now, with options of 8GB or 12GB RAM, and options of storage from 128GB, to 256GB, to 512GB.

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 also launches with a newer version of the HarmonyOS 3 with WPS Office.

The 12.6-inch screen is still an OLED screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution display featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate, and stylus support for Huawei's 4096 pressure sensitive M-Pencil.

And the cameras gives you a lot to look at too, as this tablet features a 13MP camera and another 8MP wide-angle camera on the back, together with a 3D depth camera. While on the front it has an 8MP camera for video calls.

As a flagship tablet it continues with 4 mics and 8 speakers from Harman Kardon, as well as optional 5G, while all models also feature a 40W charging 10,050 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.2, and a USB C 3.1 Gen 1 port.

Tablet sensors are plentiful too, as ambient light, hall, gyro, compass, g-sensor, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO, and QZSS sensors are all embedded in Huawei's latest flagship tablet.

Color choices for the 22-23 model year are blue, black, and white, with the dimensions being a weight of 609 grams and a thickness of 6.5mm, which makes this an easy to carry tablet, at least before you add the keyboard cover.

The only downside to the keyboard is that it lacks a trackpad. But users can always connect an external mouse.

Launch price begins at the equivalent of 670 USD in China, and it will be released on September 23rd.
