Huawei MatePad Pro 11 Announced Today
Huawei announced the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 today, and it did not disappoint.
This is Huawei's new flagship tablet in the 11-inch category.
It has an 11-inch screen with an OLED display featuring a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and support for the 4096 pressure level M-Pencil.
Power comes in the form of choices between Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processors, with RAM options of 8GB or 12GB, together with 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options.
Huawei MatePad Pro 11 has a record setting 16MP front camera, and dual 13MP and 8MP rear cameras with LED integrated into a new type of rear tablet design, 6 speakers with 4 woofers and 2 tweeters and enhanced by what is now the Huawei Sound audio controller, 4 mics, and a 8300 mAh battery with an 11.5 hour battery life and 40W and 66W charge support depending on the model.
Also onboard is Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.2, a USB C 3.1 port, and a full set of navigation and tablet sensors.
The new HarmonyOS 3 now features Widget Stack, where your widgets are stacked like a deck of cards when you click on them to appear or disappear. There's also Widget Group where you can customize what widgets to appear depending on the usage scenario.
This is one of the very few tablets under the 6mm mark, as it measures 5.9mm in thickness and also just a low weight of 449 grams.
There are four color options for the tablets, with these being blue, two forms of white, and black, and then black and white color options for the keyboard cover.
The wireless keyboard can be used even if it's not attached to the tablet, and the cover adds both a kickstand as well as a placeholder for the digitizer pen.
Huawei has also set up the keyboard so that it extends the Wi-Fi antenna when it's connected to the keyboard, so that should boost signal strength a little too.
The launch price begins at 3499 Chinese Yuan, or the equivalent of 519 USD, and it will be released on August 11.
