11.5-Inch Huawei MatePad 2023 Launching July 28

Huawei will launch the new Huawei MatePad 2023 model on July 28. This is a 11.5-inch mid-range tablet that's launching for the equivalent of $220 in China first.

And the specs are decent for that price I would say, considering an octa-core 2.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and options of 128GB/256GB of storage, as well as optional 4G.

With a screen at this size, Huawei opted for the introduction of a 2.2K resolution screen, in other words, a display resolution of 2200 x 1440, with Huawei M-Pencil support and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

As for other specs, the Huawei MatePad 2023 is equipped with a 7700 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, an 8MP front camera, a 13MP rear camera, quad speakers with Histen 8.1 audio, two mics, and a USB C 2.0 port.

This Huawei tablet comes with the latest HarmonyOS 3.1 that rolled out in June, which is a still fast growing OS.

The newest MatePad is also incredibly thin for a mid-range tablet, with a thickness of just 6.85mm and a weight of 499 grams. That's about 20 grams lighter than the 11.5-inch Lenovo Tab P11 (2nd gen) even.

And the color options are gray, silver, and light blue. Featuring pogo pin connectors, there's also an optional keyboard for this tablet, though without any trackpad.
