HP Chromebook x2, the first Chrome OS 2-in-1 tablet was unveiled on April 9 this year with a Intel Core m3 processor. Then in July it was discovered that HP also had some unannounced Intel Core i5 and Intel Pentium 4415Y versions of the HP Chromebook x2 in the pipeline too.
Both of these two additional versions of the HP Chromebook x2 have now been quietly launched onto the market in many corners of the world, from Asia and Australia, to Europe, and even Canada, though I have yet to see them launch in the US market. Perhaps it’s just a matter of time.
The Intel Core i5 and Intel Pentium versions of HP Chromebook x2 have the same 12.3-inch screen with 2400 x 1600 resolution and other specs found on the Intel Core m3 version, but differs with the Intel Pentium 4415Y model sporting 4GB LPDDR3 RAM (1866 MHz) and 32GB of eMMC storage, while the Intel Core i5-7Y54 version is sporting 8GB LPDDR3 RAM (1866 MHz) with 64GB of eMMC storage.
