Google Pixel 9 Design Revealed Through 5k Renders; Will Launch Alongside Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro Xl
In January, 91mobiles and MySmartPrice shared images of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, thanks to the famous tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks. Steve has recently clarified that those devices were really the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Google is introducing an ‘XL' model this year, the first time since the Pixel 5 series. Keeping this in mind, we now offer you a special first glimpse at the standard Pixel 9.
What to Expect from the Google Pixel 9's Design
- We've got access to four high-quality images and a 360-degree video showcasing the new Pixel 9, which provides a detailed preview of Google's next major phone.
- Its appearance closely matches the Pixel 9 Pro, featuring a small, sleek form and a prominent camera block on the back. However, the Pixel 9 sports a two-camera array, unlike the Pro's three-camera setup.
- The Pixel 9 also boasts gently curved edges, a smooth screen with a punch-hole camera in the middle for selfies, and control buttons on the right edge of its slim profile. It comes with a 6.03-inch screen, a tad smaller than the 6.1-inch screen of the Pixel 9 Pro.
- In terms of size, the Pixel 9 is roughly 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm in dimension, reaching 12mm at the camera's protrusion, according to OnLeaks.
The Pixel 9 is shown in a Black color, much like the Pixel 9 Pro XL. It's expected that Google will offer the Pixel 9 in different colors. The design of the Pixel 9 series seems to be changing to resemble the iPhone 15 and the Galaxy S24 series.
Although we have a decent understanding of the Pixel 9's appearance, little else has been disclosed about the gadget. Past rumors have hinted at a feature called ‘Adaptive Touch,' which would change how sensitive the touchscreen is, depending on things like your surroundings, what you're doing, or if you're using a screen protector.
It's anticipated that the Pixel 9 lineup will include Qi2 charging technology. This enhanced standard boosts wireless charging speeds to up to 15W and includes magnetic alignment.
Additionally, the Pixel 9 series is likely to come with the yet-to-be-released Tensor G4 chipset. More information about the Pixel 9 phones should be available shortly.
What do I think?
I just saw the new Google Pixel 9 design, and I'm excited! The phone looks a lot like the Pixel 9 Pro but smaller. It has two cameras on the back, not three like the Pro. The edges are soft, and it feels sleek. There's a selfie camera on the front in a tiny hole. The screen is 6.03 inches, a bit smaller than the Pro's.
It's black, but I bet Google will have other colors too. They say it might work better when you touch it, even if you're outside or have a screen protector. Plus, it will charge faster wirelessly with something called Qi2 and might have a new kind of chip. Can't wait to learn more about it!
