BOOX Note Air3 Series Announced, 10.3-Inch E Ink Android Tablet with Monochrome Display
BOOX International has announced the release of its latest electronic paper tablet, the BOOX Note Air3. The new 10.3-inch monochrome tablet runs on Android 12 and features an E Ink Carta 1200 glass display.
The Note Air3 shares a similar premium design to the recently launched Note Air3 C color version, with an aluminum body and thin profile resembling a notebook. However, it utilizes a high-contrast monochrome display instead of the Air3 C’s color panel, aimed at improving concentration.
BOOX positions the tablet as an ideal paper replacement for notes, sketching, reading ebooks, and other creative work. Its E Ink panel aims to reduce eye strain during extended use. Software capabilities highlighted include:
- Built-in templates and tools for drawing
- Handwriting conversation to text
- Linking handwritten notes to other content
- Annotating PDFs and ebooks
- Text search across notes
- File syncing with cloud storage services
- Additional productivity features include split-screen apps, fingerprint unlock, adjustable front lights for use in the dark, and
- USB OTG host support.
The Note Air3 comes bundled with a protective case and BOOX’s Pen Plus stylus. It will be available internationally this December, priced at $399. (Notice: To the US, The product will be shipped around 29 December )
BOOX also offers the color-screen Note Air3 C as an alternative for $499.
The launch expands BOOX's E Ink Android tablet lineup. The company positions its devices as flexible paper notebook replacements for reading, note-taking and sketching without eye fatigue. Unique software features aim to take advantage of the E Ink display's capabilities.
