Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380M) In Store
The new 2nd generation Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380M) 2016-2017 model is in store already, long before both the official unveiling in June, and the June 20 release: http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Z380M-A2-GR-Zenpad
(UPDATE: The Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380M) was updated to Android 7.0 Nougat in May 2017.)
The Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380M) is the successor to the Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C), an 8-inch Android tablet launched in June 2015 with 1280 x 800 HD screen and an Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor.
The processor is better this year though with Asus opting for a MediaTek MT8163 processor instead, with Mali-T720 MP4 GPU. Other than that the new Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380M) will be launched in June with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and 128GB microSD card support, but not really any other changes from the predecessor.
But for being a cheap budget tablet in the 8-inch Android tablet category, it does a good job anyway.
It has specs like options of 1GB or 2GB RAM, 8GB and 16GB storage options, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 2MP front camera, a 5MP rear camera, DTS HD sound, g-sensor, e-compass, hall sensor, light sensor, and GPS.
The battery life is 8 hours, while the thickness is 8.5 mm with a weight of 350 grams. The color options of the new Asus ZenPad 8.0 are dark grey, white, and gold.
