8-Inch 5G Tablet Orbic Tab8 5G Announced

A new 5G tablet from the unknown brand Orbic was announced at CES 2022, for an 8-inch tablet called Orbic Tab8 5G UW Tablet.

The main specs are a blend of pros and cons, as it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage with up to 1TB microSD card support.

But this is still just an HD tablet computer with 1280 x 800 resolution display.

Somewhat surprisingly then, it actually features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

The battery is decent for an 8-icnch tablet, though you’ll need that too if you want to use 5G. It has a capacity of 6000 mAh, with an 18W charger and QC 3.0 support.

As for some of the cons, it runs Android 10, though Orbic says they are working on Android 11.

A lot of people will also find problems in the wide old-school bezels on the tablet taking up too much size. When it launches, it will run on Verizon’s network.
