GPD has opened up the preview for the crowdfunding of the 6-inch Windows 11 handheld GPD Win 4, which has a keyboard underneath the sliding display, and an AMD 6800U processor.
So small Windows tablets in the 7-inch and 8-inch range have for the most part been replaced by pocket laptops or ultra mobile pc such as the GPD Win 4, but in the process they have also become extremely powerful.
It will be powered by by the 4.7 GHz AMD Ryzen 6800U processor, with a AMD Radeon 680M GPU, 16GB/32GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM, and 1TB/2TB 4×4 SSD storage.
Of course, this power can be tweaked and not just through the regular settings either, but through GPD's own Motion Assistant where users can create different performance profiles if you are an advanced user.
Apart from the usual gaming controllers, it has specs such as a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution display, stereo speakers, a backlit keyboard, a USB 4.0 port, Wi-Fi 6, and 4G LTE.
The former Win 3 docking will be compatible with this new model too, where it can connect directly to external 4K resolution TV's, though limited to 60 Hz so far.
