240Hz TCL Gaming Tablet Display Spotted
TCL is becoming more and more interesting every quarter, no doubt in part from the many billions of dollars it has spent investing in development of display technologies with CSOT, which has so far benefitted large displays in particular, such as their 8K TV's.
But a story in GizmoChina yesterday showed that TCL tablets might soon benefit from TCL's rapid advancements in display technologies too.
Courtesy of the Weibo account of Digital Chat Station, we learn that TCL have produced a 10.8-inch gaming tablet display that runs at 240Hz, with a 2ms GTG respons time.
Described only as the 10.8 WQ Gaming, this tablet display has a resolution of 2560 x 1600, with a good 500 nits brightness, and DCI-P3 color gamut. Of course, it's the refresh rate that will appeal the most to gamers. Even the class leading iPad Pro “only” has a 120Hz refresh rate on the display.
These pictures are just a preview of the gaming tablet display though, so the natural next question is what kind of processor and GPU we might be able to expect in a gaming tablet with such a display.
Whatever it is, it gives use more great tablets to look forward to in 2020.
