Whirlpool have taken to CES 2019 in Las Vegas these days to announced a preview of their upcoming KitchenAid Smart Display with Google Assistant for use in the kitchen.
It belongs to the new generation of hub devices for the kitchen, which is a development of the kitchen tablets from earlier years.
Whirlpool KitchenAid Smart Display is a 10-inch voice and touch activated smart hub that runs Google Assistant and provides recipes from Yummly, while naturally also functioning as a smart hub, and entertainment device too, should you want to play some music through hands free voice activation while cooking in the kitchen.
The KitchenAid Smart Display is IPX-5 rated, so it is a tiny bit splash resistant, but it’s not waterproof like some of Sony, Samsung, and Huawei’s tablets are. And Samsung even makes refrigerators with built-in touch displays, ovens, cooktops, and wine coolers with smart technology in them that can all talk to each other, so if you really want to make your kitchen smart connected, then Samsung is already way ahead of the rest.
