10.4-Inch Teclast T40S Launch May 10

Teclast has just announced a new tablet called Teclast T40S, which will launch on May 10 for $219 from AliExpress.

It has the design of a very appealing and modern tablet, so let's see what's under the hood.

Main hardware on the Teclast T40S consists of an octa-core MediaTek MT8183 processor, with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

It ships with Android 12 and has a 10.4-inch screen with a 2000 x 1200 resolution Full HD display.

Some of the other specifications have been bumped up for this tablet segment though, as it has a 13MP rear camera with LED and a 5MP front camera and facial unlocking.

The battery is just a 6000 mAh battery, but this hipset can be very battery frugal so the battery life could still be over 10 hours long based on the video playback standard.

It also has stereo speakers though upgraded compared to Teclast's previous generation tablet speakers, and it has location sensors GPS, Glonass, and Galileo.

Connectivity options are Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.0, and a USB C port.

It's doing okay on portability, with a weight of 475 grams and a thickness of 8mm.
