Thy are even starting with a mesh “bundle” of 3 nodes which should ensure the best opportunity to utilize the Wi-Fi 7 benefits throughout an entire house or building.
The design may be very minimalistic, but Linksys says each node can cover 3,000 sq. ft. and support 200 devices, or 600 devices in total with all three nodes in use at the same time.
While the first Wi-Fi 7 tablets won't launch before 2024, there are a couple of other wireless peripherals that will launch with Wi-Fi 7 before then, so buying a Wi-Fi 7 router now is at least a way of future proofing the router.
Some of the main benefits of Wi-Fi 7 over the currently fastest Wi-Fi 6E tablets includes a higher bandwidth, much lower latency, and we'll finally be able to use shared high-speed channels, and even do 8K streaming from the hammock in the backyard.
