We are near the end of January, which means that we’ll finally start to see the first tablet launches of the year soon, and one of the new tablets that will launch this week is the dual-OS 8-inch tablet Teclast X80 Plus with Cherry Trail processor. The price for it is $92 with free shipping internationally:
With release on January 31, it has both Android 5.1 and Windows 10 operating systems this dual-OS tablet, even if the storage is only 32GB. But at least the tablet has full 128GB microSD card support.
Apart from the somewhat low battery capacity of 3800 mAh, and a claimed battery life of 3 hours, the other specs are at the level where they should be.
This includes an 8-inch IPS screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 (Cherry Trail T3) processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Teclast X80 tablet is also quite small for an 8-inch tablet, due to the very slim bezels on the sides.
Remaining specs include a 2MP front camera and a 2MP rear camera, a micro-USB port, and a micro-HDMI port.
It’s amazing how cheap Chinese tablets are and how low tablet prices have become in general, which should bode well for the rest of 2016.
