TCL announced three new Alcatel tablets for the 2020 model year in Hong Kong yesterday, which will be released at various times throughout Q3. And while these Alcatel tablets will launch in most corners of the world, they may not launch in the US.
The full details and specs have yet to be announced, but here’s what TCL has specified so far, combined with info from our prior leaks.
Alcatel TKEE MID Kids Tablet
This is a larger 8-inch kids tablet, that’s launching in addition to their existing 7-inch kids tablets. Like Alcatel’s other kids tablets, it features the Kidomi app, which includes educational material and screened apps and media content deemed appropriate for children.
It’s launching for €149 with 4G LTE, a HD screen, Wi-Fi 5, a colorful bumper case, and a TÜV Rheinland certified eye protection screen.
Alcatel 3T 8 (2020)
Is an 8-inch Android 10 tablet launching for €129, with a thickness of 8.75mm, and weight of 290 grams. It features Kids Mode and Google Assistant, HD resolution of 1280 x 800, a 4100 mAh battery, 2GB RAM, and a MediaTek chipset. It replaces the older Alcatel 3T 8
Alcatel 1T 7 (2020)
Is their new 7-inch Android 10 Go Edition tablet, also with Kids Mode, that’ll launch for €89. It’s equipped with a 2580 mAh battery and 1024 x 600 resolution display. So quite a lot more than the Fire 7 even when the specs aren’t any better.
