10.1-Inch Studio Mode Laptop One-Netbook 5 Launching From $1169
OneXplayer is launching an interesting looking small laptop now in the middle of October known as the One-Netbook 5, with a $1169 launch price after the launch discount is applied.
With its studio mode, this Windows 11 laptop looks similar to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, but when you start looking at the specs you realize that it's a lot smaller, even though it's quite powerful.
The screen size of the One-Netbook 5 is 10.1-inches, which features a 2560 x 1600 resolution touch display with 1088% sRGB, 400 nits brightness, and support for the 4096 pressure sensitive stylus pen. And the screen can swivel out of its ordinary laptop mode into a studio mode, or a almost tablet-like mode.
So that's useful in itself, but OneXplayer also stuffed it with a good deal of power, as they always do with their range of small computers.
And even though the processor is a 12th gen Intel Core processor, it's still a 4.7 GHz i7-1250U CPU with Iris Xe Graphics, 32GB LPDDR5 (5200 MHz) RAM, and 1TB/2TB M.2 2280 4.0 PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
With this kind of power in a small laptop it's not fanless though, as it has two small fans to cool it down with.
Other main specs includes a 11,000 mAh battery with a rated 6-8 hour battery life, 65W GaN charger and PD fast charge support, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.2, stereo Harman speakers with AudioEFX, a fingerprint reader, USB-C 4.0 and a USB-C 3.2 ports, as well as a 3.5mm audio combo jack and a microSD card slot with support for 2TB microSD cards.
It weighs 970 grams which is not much for a laptop in itself, but the studio hinge system pulls up the weight a little, as does the leather on the back. So despite the 10.1-inch screen, it still weighs almost the same at the ultra light 14-inch LG Gram laptops.
Most Windows tablets have a built-in kickstand which automatically gives them studio mode, but there is one Windows tablet that has a keyboard with a forward leaning studio mode too, which is the Dere T30 Pro, available from Geekbuying. But that tablet is powered by an Intel Celeron N5095 processor, so it doesn't have the same power as the One-Netbook 5.
