Save Money on Audible with the Secret Silver Subscription Plan
If you're a fan of audiobooks like me, you know the joy of being able to listen to your favorite books anytime, anywhere. While the experience may not be the same as holding a physical paperback, the convenience is unmatched. That's why I've been an Audible subscriber for the past 2 years and have even recommended it on my YouTube channel.
Audible operates on a monthly subscription model. After your first-month free trial ends, you're required to pay a $15 monthly fee, which gives you one credit for a free book each month. This plan works well for most people, but if you don't listen to a lot of audiobooks on Audible, there's a way to save some money.
Introducing the Secret Silver Plan
Audible offers a secret Silver plan that costs $15 every two months. With this plan, you'll receive 6 credits in a year instead of the usual 12. Essentially, you'll be charged every alternate month. It's almost like canceling your subscription and restarting it every other month. However, if you cancel your Audible subscription entirely, you'll lose any unused credits you have. So, if you're on a tight budget, the Silver plan makes more sense.
So, how do you get this plan? Unfortunately, there's no direct option available. You'll have to reach out to Audible through their chat, phone, or email support. It's important to note that Audible reserves the right to turn down or cancel this offer at any time since they don't advertise it openly. However, the chances of that happening are quite slim. To ensure you reach the right person, go to “My Account” > “Change or cancel my membership” > “Upgrade/downgrade my membership.”
Alternatively, if you're looking to save some money for a rainy day and want to take a break from Audible without canceling your subscription, you can put your account on hold. Every Audible user can do this for a duration of 3 months once every 12 months. Putting your account on hold will preserve all your unused Audible credits. To do this, you'll need to contact Audible's Customer Care.
Remember, you can also find these options when you cancel your Audible membership, so there's no need to contact customer care.
By taking advantage of the Secret Silver plan or putting your account on hold, you can save money on Audible without compromising your access to great audiobooks. So why not give it a try and enjoy your favorite books while keeping your wallet happy?
