Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) 4G LTE was announced today, as Samsung’s newest tablet in the 8-inch category with Android and built-in 4G LTE. The release date is March 27:
Main specifications for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) 4G LTE are a 8.4-inch screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution, an octa-core 1.8 GHz Samsung Exynos 7904 processor, with 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 32GB of storage, and support for microSD cards up to 512GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) battery life is 12 hours long based on the videoplayback standard, or up to 11 hours with internet use from the 5000 mAh battery that supports fast charging.
Internet is available through either 4G LTE or 3G bands, as well as dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0. This tablet has a USB C (2.0) port for charging and file transfers too.
Other Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) specs includes a 5MP front camera, a 8MP rear camera, stereo speakers placed at the bottom of the tablet (in portrait mode), a 3.5mm audio combo jack, tablet sensors like GPS, GLONASS, and accelerometer
The tablet is 7.1mm thick, and also weighs just 309 grams, so it’s very portable for an 8.4-inch tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has only been announced as a 4G LTE tablet, and based on our extensive pre-launch cover of this tablet, we have never found any traces of a Wi-Fi only model of this tablet. So for the time being, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) (SM-T307) will only be sold as a 4G tablet.
