Robo & Kala 2-In-1 Windows Tablet With OLED And Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 Coming In Q1 2023
The only major computer company to launch a new Window on ARM tablet this year has been Microsoft with the SQ3 version of the Surface Pro X. The other main brands have for the most part been on the sideline, happy with their existing Windows tablets.
But a newcomer from Hong Kong is about to shake things up a bit as a new computer company called Robo & Kala will launch their first Windows on ARM tablet.
The overall specs are very good. The ‘Robo&kala‘ tablet is a 12.6-inch Windows tablet powered by a 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 chipset, with 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB SSD storage.
The display is even an OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, 600 nits brightness, and digitizer pen support (MPP2.0) with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
It also features a full set of tablet sensors, Wi-Fi6, BT 5.2, a 5MP front camera and a IR camera for facial recognition, a 13MP rear camera with 4K video, stereo speakers, two mics, 2x USB 3.2 ports, a backlit keyboard, and a 41.4Wh battery with 65W charger estimated to give a 20 hour battery life.
The Robo & Kala tablet will be launched in green, blue, pink, grey, and black, with an aluminum alloy casing, a weight of 690 grams, and a thickness of 7.3mm.
It's currently raising money on Kickstarter where the Robo & Kala 2-in-1 bundle with the keyboard costs $999.
The intention is to release it on Amazon in February/March 2023 after all the initial backers have got their early bird crowdfunded models.
