Reviews

User Reviews 1 User Reviews I seem to feel the Blackview Tab 8 is a great value affordable Android tablet with solid performance if you don't need top-end specs. For basic gaming, streaming, web browsing, etc. and at the low price point, I indicate it could make a nice choice that doesn't "break the bank."
- Britec09
User Reviews 2 It has some nice features like the metal construction and stereo speakers for the low asking price, but lacks in some areas like screen resolution, camera, and GPS functionality. It provides good value if you manage expectations about its budget tier capabilities.
- Espritnewgen
User Reviews 3 I found the Blackview Tab 80 tablet has a solid metal construction and attractive design with relatively thin bezels. The IPS screen offers good viewing angles and brightness. The resolution is only HD which is sharper for text, but color and contrast are very good. Performance is decent with the Unisoc processor and 4GB RAM, though demanding games may struggle. The speakers provide quality audio with good bass. Battery life exceeded 7 hours in testing which is decent but charging speed is quite slow. The cameras perform reasonably well, especially the 13MP rear.

6.3
  • Performance 5 / 10
  • Display 6 / 10
  • Battery 7 / 10
  • Design 7 / 10

Consumer electronics company Blackview has recently released its latest affordable Android tablet, the Tab 80. This new 10.1-inch tablet aims to deliver a quality media consumption device on a budget.

Elegance in Design: The Slim Metal Unibody and Vibrant 10.1-inch IPS LCD Display

The Blackview Tab 80 sports a metal unibody design available in three colors – blue, green and gray. It measures just 7.5mm thick and weighs 484g making it slim and lightweight enough for comfortable handheld use.

The front houses a laminated 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The bezels surrounding the screen are relatively slim for a cheaper tablet.

Performance Prowess

Powering the tablet is an Octa-core Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset with a Mali G57 GPU, 4GB of RAM and your choice of 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage. This keeps costs down while still providing decent performance for the price according to reviews.

The software is Android 13 with Blackview’s own Doke OS 3.0 custom interface.

Long Battery Life and Capable Features

The Tab 80 packs a capable set of features into its budget-friendly body. A 7,680mAh battery provides over 7 hours of mixed use on a charge.

Fast charging is limited to 10W however. Dual stereo speakers with WB L1 certification allow for good audio quality while streaming movies or listening to music.

Analyzing the Photography Capabilities

Photography capabilities come in the form of 8MP front and 13MP rear cameras. Images and video quality seem serviceable from the Sony rear sensor but don’t expect top notch photography from a tablet.

The cameras do handle video calls and scanning documents reasonably well.

Seamless Connectivity

Connectivity is covered with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB-C port and a headphone jack. There is also support for 4G LTE networks with dual SIM functionality for staying connected on the go.

Early reviews indicate Blackview’s Tab 80 delivers good value and versatility as an affordable big-screen entertainment hub for web browsing, video streaming, social media, games and more. While more demanding users may still want a higher end tablet, the Tab 80 reviews well as a budget option if expectations are set accordingly.
