Possible Acer Chrome OS Tablet Unveiling April 29?
Zdnet is speculating whether Acer might be the first tablet brand to release a Google Chrome tablet.
With Acer inviting to a press event on April 29, speculations have a few people wondering if Acer will unveil the first ever Chrome tablet. Nothing have been spotted in benchmark tests, FCC filings, or image leaks yet, but Acer promises that at least it will be a “touch” device. That's all we know.
Chrome OS was launched in 2009, with the first cheap laptops and notebooks with Chrome installed launching 2 years later, in 2011. These low-cost computers have been known as Chromebooks, an area which Acer have been able to cash in on.
Now what do you think Chrome tablets should be called? Chromelets, Chromeblets, ChromeTabs, Chromeboards, Chromepads?
