Three New Samsung microSD And SD Memory Cards Launched For 2021-2022
Samsung's new 2021-2022 model memory cards are launching these days, and I realized it's a testament to just how cheap storage cards have become recently.
One of the cheapest Samsung memory cards is the new Samsung EVO Select, which is a microSD card that comes in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB sizes. The 256GB memory card costs just $39, so that makes expanding the storage on a tablet computer or Chromebook very cheap.
The new Samsung EVO Select cards are U3, A2, V30, Class 10 microSDXC cards with read speed up to 130MB/s. The version sold on Amazon comes with an SD adapter too, so it can be used in a laptop too.
A slightly more costly memory card is the new Samsung PRO Plus microSDXC cards in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. These microSD cards also conform to U3, A2, V30, Class 10 microSDXC standards, but have read speed up to 160MB/s, with 120MB/s write speeds.
Then finally, there's also the new full-size SD cards called Samsung EVO Plus, that comes in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB sizes.
These memory cards conform to U3, V30, Class 1 standards, with a 130 MB/s read speed. Here too, 256GB cost just $39. So mobile storage is one thing that has seen a significant price drop lately.
