Upgraded New Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 (2023 model) Coming
Lenovo keeps doing their quiet tablet upgrades. This time around it's on the Windows tablet Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5i that was launched in the US in August last year.
There's only one upgrade on the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 2023 model (model nr 12IRU8). These are upgrades from the 12th gen Intel Core processors to the new 13th gen Intel Core i7-1355U, i5-1335U, and i3-1315U processor options.
But other than that, everything from the RAM to the weight remains the same.

Nothing wrong with that though, because this is generally a nice Windows 2-in-1 tablet PC, and a smaller alternative to Surface Pro 9.
The 2023 edition Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 features a 12.4-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and support for the Lenovo Digital Pen 3. Instead of Gorilla Glass, Lenovo went with Panda King Glass for protection instead. So the tablet has additional scratch resistance.
Then 8GB/16GB LPDDR4x RAM (4266), 128GB/256GB/512GB SSD storage, 2W stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos, dual array mics with noise-cancelling, a front 5MP camera and IR camera for facial recognition, a 5MP rear camera, a 50Whr battery with 65W PD 3.0 charging, Wi-Fi 6E, BT 5.2, a USB C 3.2 port, and a good old 3.5mm audio jack.
It's got a little bit of weight to it though. The thickness is 9.45mm, but the tablet weighs 839 grams, though that's what you have to expect with a kickstand and a large battery. The backlit keyboard is almost light though at 350 grams.
It will launch in the color choices Stone Blue and Storm Grey. I have no idea when it will launch, but we'll sure let you folks know once it's in store.
