LG G Pad III 8.0
LG have now started to offer both the 4G LTE as well as Wi-Fi only model of the new LG G Pad III 8.0. The 4G LTE model is available through Rogers in Canada, and will slowly roll out to other markets too.
The main difference between them is the 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and Android 6.0 on the Wi-Fi model, with a different Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Android 5.1 on the 4G LTE model. LG used to be quick with Android updates, but not with this tablet it seems.
LG G Pad III 8.0 has seen its 8-inch screen upgraded to Full HD with 1920 x 1200 resolution, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB/32GB of storage with up to 2TB of storage expansion because it has a full-size USB port. The regular microSD card support is for cards up to 128GB though.
It has dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi support, and Bluetooth 4.1 (Wi-Fi) or Bluetooth 4.2 (4G LTE).
The front camera is 5MP camera, while the rear camera is a 8MP camera. The battery capacity is 4800 mAh, and the power management is usually good with LG, which gives it a 10 hour battery life.
It's dimensions are okay, with a weight of 309 grams and a thickness of 7.9 mm.
