LG Advance Their Go At Speakers Including Dedicated Gaming Speakers After Stepping Out Mobile Business

As LG stepped out of the smartphone and tablet business, a lot of people wondered if LG would fill those spaces with new consumer tech products, or just focus more on manufacturing parts for other brands instead.

Well, based on the recent activity from LG, at least we can see that they’re advancing their go in the speakers market.

Not only did they announce the LG XBOOM 360 RP4 speaker last week, a new 120W distortion free 360 degree speaker that will launch for $399 next Monday, but today LG even announced a dedicated gaming speaker.

LG Gaming Speaker

Featuring a more traditional gaming inspired design, LG is launching the $499 LG UltraGear Gaming Speaker GP9 for when you don’t want to play with your headphones on.

Audio technology to make it worthwhile includes LG’s own 3D Gaming Sound with a head-related transfer function, Game Genre Optimizer, FPS Mode, RTS Mode with enhanced spatial sound, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Dolby, as well as 16.8 million RGB lighting for the eyes.

The gaming speaker LG UltraGear Gaming Speaker GP9 is actually battery powered, so you can use it with your tablet computer on the go. This is a 20W speaker though, so the 2600 mAh battery gives only provides it with a battery life of 5-6 hours.
