Lenovo Yoga A12 Announced – The New Larger 12.2-Inch Lenovo Yoga Book With Halo Keyboard

Lenovo officially announced the Lenovo Yoga A12 today, the 12.2-inch Lenovo Yoga Book we wrote about some weeks ago. Lenovo now says it will launch on February 8th, for $299. It was taking pre-orders for a short time until we wrote about it: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Yoga-YB-Q501F-GG-Tablet-Gunmetal

Lenovo also clarified that the Lenovo Yoga A12 is Android only, and will not come with Windows too, unlike the smaller 10.1-inch version. This convertible comes with Google Productivity Suite though, and has the famous Halo keyboard.

Lenovo Yoga A12 specs are otherwise as we noted before. It has a 12.2-inch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and is powered by the Intel Atom x5-Z8550.

It comes in pink or grey, and offers such aspects as USB 3.0, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, a 720 webcam, GPS, GLONASS, and a 12 hour battery life.

There are a few 12.2-inch Android tablets or 2-in-1's on the market by now, and most of them have higher specs than the Lenovo Yoga A12. So people are to a large extent paying for the Halo keyboard. The tablets are:

Chuwi Hi12 – 2160 x 1440 resolution, 11000 mAh battery, Intel Atom Z8350 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 2MP and 5MP cameras, and USB 3.0.

Teclast TBook 12 Pro – 1920 x 1200 resolution, Intel Atom Z8300 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage.

CUBE iwork12 – 1920 x 1200 resolution, Intel Atom Z8300 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and 2MP and 5MP cameras.

11.6-inch ultrabooks are also available for $249 with Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.
