Lenovo Launches 11-Inch Tab K11 with Helio G88 Processor and Dolby Atmos Sound
Lenovo has announced the launch of its latest Android tablet, the Tab K11, in the Japanese market. The new mid-range tablet features an 11-inch display, MediaTek Helio G88 processor, Dolby Atmos sound, and a sleek metal design.
The Lenovo Tab K11 sports an 10.95-inch IPS LCD screen with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution.
The tablet is powered by MediaTek's Helio G88 chipset, which contains an octa-core CPU with two 2.0GHz Arm Cortex-A75 performance cores and six 1.8GHz Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. This delivers solid performance for everyday tasks and multimedia consumption.
The Tab K11 comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via the microSD card slot. The tablet runs Android 13 out of the box.
In terms of optics, there is an 8MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera. The Tab K11 packs a sizable 7040mAh battery that Lenovo claims can deliver up to 10 hours of video playback or web browsing on a single charge. It supports 15W fast charging over USB-C.
One of the highlights of the new Lenovo tablet is its four-speaker setup optimized with Dolby Atmos technology for an immersive audio experience. The metal-bodied tablet measures just 7.15mm thick and weighs 465 grams.
The Tab K11 offers a raft of connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The LTE model will support 4G LTE networks.
Lenovo is bringing some of its small-screen collaboration features like Freestyle to the Tab K11. This allows users to connect the tablet with a Windows PC and use it as a second screen or graphics tablet.
The Lenovo Tab K11 will be available in a sleek Luna Grey color. Lenovo Japan has not yet revealed pricing or exact launch dates for the Wi-Fi and LTE variants. The tablet will rival Samsung's Galaxy Tab A8 and other mainstream Android tablets when it hits store shelves.
With its combination of mid-range specs, Dolby Atmos sound, Android 13 software, and productivity features like Freestyle, the Lenovo Tab K11 will appeal to casual users looking for an entertainment and communication-focused tablet experience.
The pricing will be crucial in determining if the Tab K11 can compete effectively in the crowded Android tablet market.
In the Japanese market specifically, the Tab K11 Wi-Fi model may be priced around 20,000 to 30,000 yen (roughly $150 to $230). And the LTE variant could sell for 30,000 to 40,000 yen (around $230 to $300).
