Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Launching Soon?
There have been speculations of Samsung launching a new budget flagship tablet series under the S10 family since late 2024. The latest budget-friendly series, the FE series has become the go-to option for affordable yet high-performing tablets in the market. As we approach the end of Q1 2025, there’s even more reason to believe the launch will happen very soon.
In December 2024, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE batteries received BIS certification—the required approval for manufacturing and importing high-risk products such as electronics.
The knowledge of the existence of this certification is what hinted at the release of a new tablet. Recently acquired certifications are now furthering speculations about the imminent release.
The Latest Leak
In February 2025, this new anticipated tablet model received SIG certification, which confirmed the marketing name: Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE. The latest hints at the Galaxy Tab S10 FE being released soon are the recently acquired FCC and SGS Fimko certifications in March 2025.
-
The FCC Certification
FCC certification has been awarded for tablet model numbers SM-X528U and SM-X526B. The certification has confirmed connectivity options such as 5G FR1 bands with sub-6GHz frequencies, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, and Bluetooth.
While the marketing name was not mentioned in this certification, the model numbers are the same as those of already obtained Galaxy Tab S10 FE certifications.
-
The SGS Fimko Certification
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE has appeared on the SGS Fimko certification platform. The model numbers listed include SM-X520, SM-X526B, SM-X526E, SM-X526N, and SM-X528U. The certification awarded is for a 7,760 mAh battery, which could either be the rated or typical capacity for the new Samsung tablets.
Additionally, based on the certification, we anticipate the new tablets will feature a 45W fast charging speed, similar to the other models in the Galaxy Tab S10 FE family.
Anticipated Specs
Based on the already acquired certifications, news in the tablet tech space, and confirmation of the new tablet being of the Galaxy Tab S10 family, we anticipate the following specs on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE.
- Model: We anticipate a standard Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ similar to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE model options.
- Display: The standard model is expected to feature a 10.9-inch screen. Similar to S9 FE, 800nits brightness and 2304 × 1440 pixels resolution specs are expected. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, on the other hand, is rumored to feature an increased massive 13.1-inch display with a 2880 × 1800 resolution. If that is the case, this will be the largest panel on a Samsung tablet yet, making it suitable for accessing online gaming websites and entertainment platforms.
We will have to wait for the launch to know for sure if Samsung will decide to update the OLED screens or continue production with LCD screens.
- Camera: Currently, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE has an 8MP rear camera. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, on the other hand has an 8MP front and 8MP rear camera. As Samsung is known for regularly upgrading its camera capabilities, the new S10 FE and S10 FE+ are anticipated to have a 13MP main rear camera and a 12MP front camera.
- Battery: The Galaxy Tab S10 FE will likely have an 8,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ features a 10,090mAh battery. As already mentioned, both models are expected to support 45W fast charging based on the SGS Fimko Certification acquired.
- Processor: The recently launched Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1580 system-on-chip. This SoC includes an advanced GPU, AI engine, and 5G connectivity. This revolutionary invention is likely to power the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+.
- Operating system: We expect the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, when launched will run Android 15 and One UI 7.0. The standard six major Android OS updates and security patches for up to six years are expected to come with the models as well unless Samsung changes its offering on OS.
- RAM and ROM: We are hopeful for an upgrade with the S10 FE and S10 FE+ tabs when it comes to storage. The current S9 series features 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. The prediction for the S10 series is 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128/256GB ROM configuration.
With all these speculations about Samsung's next tablet series, the most important question remains the launch date. The Samsung Tab S9 FE series was launched in October 2023.
Samsung does not have a predictable sequence for its releases; therefore, it is very difficult to predict a launch date for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, but we anticipate by mid-2025, you should be able to get your hands on the gadget.
