Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro 10.8 was announced at MWC 2018 in Barcelona today, so now we can finally judge it by its official specs and features.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro 10.8 is Huawei’s flagship tablet with Android 8.0 Oreo for 2018, with attractive specs, optional 4G LTE, and support for both a proper pen and keyboard cover. The European prices in Euro range from €499 to €599, with model options being between 64GB and 128GB storage, and with or withouth 4G LTE, with all models having 4GB of RAM.
It’s powered by a octa-core HiSilicion Kirin 960 processor, while the 10.8-inch screen has a 2560 x 1600 resolution display with 4096 pressure levels support for the new Huawei M-Pen that they’ve developed. The pen is included by the way, and the screen has 2.5D glass, which means that the screen is curved from the sides and pretty solid.
As for other specs they include complete dual-band Wi-Fi cover and what looks like good antenna layout, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, fingerprint sensor, a USB C to 3.5mm audio jack converter due to missing an audio jack, and a 7500 mAh battery capacity with Quick Charge which will charge this tablet in 2.9 hours.
The audio of Huawei’s Android 8.0 tablet ought to be good with 4 speakers with Harman Kardon audio and Hi-Res audio. The cameras are on the high end of the spectrum too, with a 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera with auto focus.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro 10.8 color options are champagne gold and space grey, with a weigh of 498 grams and a thickness of 7.3mm.
It has 3 pogo pin connectors for hooking up to the keyboard cover, which is optional, and is priced to €129.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro 10.8 will be launched during spring and with EMUI 8.0 alongside Android 8.0 which adds a few apps and features, as well as a Desktop View with a taskbar and shortcuts to files.
