Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 wp Announced – Waterproof Android 7.1 Tablet With Japanese TV Tuner

Huawei announced the new addition Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 wp today in Japan. This is a waterproof 10.1-inch Android 7.0 tablet that will be released in Japan on December 8th, for around 41.000 Japanese Yen, or approximately $350 USD, although it would probably be launched for under $299 in the US.

Highlights of Huawei’s newest tablet includes the water and dustproof IP67 rating, quad-speakers by Haraman Kardon, and 1seg TV tuner (for Japan) so that it can recieve TV signals too on this tablet. So this tablet doesn’t just come with a USB cable like the others, but an antenna cable too.

As a mid-range Huawei tablet, it is well covered in specifications, even though the octa-core Kirin 659 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and 1920 x 1200 resolution are not enough to call it a high-end tablet any longer on this side of 2017. But it nevertheless looks like a fine Android tablet with Huawei’s fluid EMUI 5.1 UI too. Because Huawei tends to go all in with the rest of their specs.

Which means that this tablet has full dual-band Wi-Fi cover, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, a fingerprint reader, e-compas, gyro, accelerometer, 8MP front and rear cameras, and fast charge support for the 6660 mAh battery. The battery life should be just over 10 hours.

The tablet is otherwise built on the non-waterproof Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10.
