Huawei Honor Pad 6 And X6 Launched – First New 9.7-Inch Tablet In 2020

Huawei's Honor brand unveiled two new Android based tablets in China yesterday called Honor Pad 6 and Honor Pad X6, that will be released on July 28th.

During 2019-2020 we have seen tablet brands move away from the original 10 year old iPad 9.7 size over to a great variety of different 10-inch sizes. Huawei went in the opposite direction with one of these tablets though, as the Honor Pad X6 is a 9.7-inch tablet. But the Honor Pad 6 is still a 10.1-inch tablet.

The tablets are entry level tablets that will start at prices just above that of Amazon's $149 Fire HD 10, or from 1099 Chinese Yuan and upwards.

Honor Pad 6 (AGS3-W09/AL09) is the Full HD version, featuring a 10.1-inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution display. It's still powered by the same octa-core 1.7 GHz Huawei Hisilicon Kirin 710A processor, but features model choices of 4GB RAM with either 64GB or 128GB storage instead.

The other specs are the same though, including the Wi-Fi 5, optional 4G, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB C port as the only port, a 5100 mAh battery, stereo speakers, and a 2MP front camera with 5MP rear camera.

It even weighs 460 grams too, and it's 7.5mm thick, though there are color options between a dark grey back with black bezels, and blue/green back with white bezels.

The Honor Pad 6 is also compatible with Huawei's M Pencil stylus.
