How to Watch Prime Video with Friends Online
Amazon recently launched a new feature that allows you to watch Prime Video content with your friends using Twitch. It's a great way to enjoy your favorite shows and movies together, even if you're not in the same location. In this article, we'll show you how to set it up and start watching with your friends.
Step 1: Create a Twitch account
The first thing you need to do is create a Twitch account if you don't already have one. Simply go to twitch.tv and click the sign-up button. Enter your details and verify your email address.
Step 2: Install Twitch Studio Beta
To stream Prime Video content on Twitch, you'll need to install the Twitch Studio Beta on your computer. You can download it here. Once downloaded, install the application like you would any other program.
Step 3: Go Live
After installing Twitch Studio Beta, log in with your Twitch credentials. Set up the application for streaming by granting permissions for the webcam, microphone, and system audio. You'll also need to enable Twitch Studio in the Screen Recording section of your computer's Privacy settings.
Step 4: Setup Stream Party
Go to the Twitch website and click on your profile icon. Select the Creator Dashboard from the drop-down list. In the Stream Manager section, click the “+” button to start a new Watch Party.
Step 5: Start Watch Party
With the Twitch stream running in the background, select the film or show you want to watch with your friends. Click the “Start Watch Party” button and connect your Amazon account with Twitch. Search for shows on Prime Video directly from the Twitch website and select the episode you want to stream. Click the “Start Watch Party” button to begin the stream.
Invite Friends to Watch
Share your Twitch stream URL with your friends and ask them to tune in to start watching the content. They will need to connect their Amazon account to their Twitch account first.
Enjoy watching Prime Video content together with your friends on Twitch! Please note that this method currently only works on computers and not on mobile devices.
