Alternatively, you can download and apply the digital or analog watch face from your iPhone. This method provides a more satisfactory way to check and customize watch faces. Here's how:
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap on the Face Gallery tab at the bottom and select the desired watch face with the preferred time format.
- Tap on the watch face and tap the Add button. Scroll down to edit parameters such as color, symbols, complications, and more. Once added, the watch face will appear on your Apple Watch.
Bonus: How to Show Digital Time on an Analog Watch Face
If you enjoy both analog and digital time formats, you can display both on your Apple Watch. To do this, follow these steps:
- Touch and hold the current watch face on your Apple Watch.
- Swipe left until you see the (+) Add button.
- Scroll down and tap on the Add button for the Simple watch face or any other analog watch face.
- On the customization screen, swipe left twice to access the Complications screen. Tap on one of the complications in the four corners to display the digital time.
- Scroll down and tap on the city under World Clock.
- Press the Digital Crown to return to the watch face. You will now see the analog watch face with the digital time displayed in the corner.
- To remove the city abbreviation from the digital time, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap on Clock, followed by City abbreviations.
- Tap on the current city, remove the existing abbreviation, and replace it with a space. Press the Back button to save the changes.
That's it! You can now enjoy both analog and digital time on your Apple Watch.
