How to Share Tweets From Twitter to Instagram
Found a meme on Twitter that you want to share with your followers on Instagram, but don't know how? We have found two different methods to share these tweets on Instagram, be it as a story, post, or reel. Let's dive in and see how you can do it!
Method 1: Share Tweets on Instagram Using the Share Menu
Sharing tweets from Twitter to Instagram is pretty easy with this method on both iPhone and Android. The only downside is that you can only share tweets as your Instagram story and not as posts or reels. Read through the other method below if you also want to share tweets as a post or reel on Instagram.
On iPhone
- Open the Twitter app and find the tweet you want to share on Instagram.
- Look for the share icon in the bottom right of the tweet and tap on it. Select Instagram Stories from the share menu.
- Tap on Open when asked to open Instagram from Twitter. You'll be redirected to the Instagram app and can share the tweet as your story.
- Adjust the story as per your need, then tap on Your Story to post it as your story on Instagram. Alternatively, you can also tap on Close Friends to post the story only for your close friends on Instagram.
On Android
- Open the Twitter app on your Android and find the tweet you want to share on Instagram.
- Tap on the share icon in the bottom right of the tweet, then select Instagram Stories. After tapping, you'll be redirected to the Instagram app.
- Adjust the story and add stickers, music, or more if required. Now tap on Your Story to add the tweet as your story on Instagram. You can also select Close Friends to share the story only with your close friends on Instagram.
Method 2: Screenshot and Post
If you want to share tweets from Twitter to a post or reel on Instagram, you can do so by taking a screenshot of the tweet and then posting it on Instagram.

- Select your share medium from Post, Story, or Reel from the right bottom. Then proceed to add it to the selected share medium.
On Android
- Open the Twitter app on your Android and find the tweet you want to share on Instagram.
- Tap on the tweet to open it separately. Now press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together to capture a screenshot.
