How to Schedule Tweets on Web and Mobile App

Twitter recently released an update that allows users to schedule and draft tweets directly from the Twitter web app. This feature was originally available on Twitter's social media dashboard, TweetDeck, but now it's accessible to all web users as well. In this article, we'll show you how to schedule tweets using the Twitter web app and also provide a workaround for mobile users.

Scheduling Tweets on Web

To schedule a tweet on the web, simply go to the Twitter web app or desktop app. At the top of the homepage, where you compose a tweet, you'll notice a new icon for scheduling/drafting tweets.

On the pop-up window, you can set the date and time for your tweet. Twitter automatically sets a future date, so make sure to adjust both the date and time before scheduling. Once you're done, click the confirm button at the top and then click on the Schedule button.

Additionally, you can access your scheduled tweets and delete them if you change your mind by going to the “Scheduled Tweets” link in the schedule menu. You can also find your drafted tweets in the Drafts tab.

Twitter syncs your drafted tweets across multiple devices, including the desktop and web app. However, please note that these drafts won't be synced to the mobile app.

Scheduling Tweets on Mobile

Unfortunately, scheduling and drafting tweets are currently only available on the Twitter desktop and web app. However, there is a workaround for mobile users.

If you open Twitter on your mobile browser, you'll be directed to the web app instead. From there, you can access the same schedule tweet menu by clicking on the compose tweet icon at the bottom. You can also view and edit your drafts. While this feature is not yet available on the mobile app, we can expect it to be added in the future.

It's great to see Twitter expanding these features to all users. If you're looking for more functionalities along with scheduling tweets, you can explore other Twitter client apps like Tweeten and Twidere.

On a side note, it would be wonderful if Instagram and Facebook also introduced post-scheduling features. In the meantime, there are third-party Instagram tools like Planoly that can help you schedule posts on Instagram.

By following these simple steps, you can easily schedule and draft tweets on both the Twitter web app and mobile browser. Enjoy the convenience of planning your tweets in advance and staying organized with your social media content.
